Whippet Shots v1.12

Updated: May 30

A free storyboarding add-on for Blender to manage cameras and render playblasts into the sequencer automatically to quickly edit your sequences.

Why did I make Whippet Shots? I wanted an add-on that was not feature rich. I wanted to sign off of work and not feel like I'm looking at a work program but rather a blank canvas I could open and just create stories. The add-on is not intended to compete with the other major storyboard add-ons for Blender such as Storyliner, Vision or Actionboards. It's more of a stepping stone to getting into one of those feature rich add-ons.

Patch Notes

5.30 / v1.12

  • Updated Playblast renders so renders now show whatever is in your viewport instead of plain ole object mode. Be sure to turn off overlays when you want to render a 'rendered mode' playblasts. Save before rendering and be patient! 🙏

5.26 / v1.1

  • Fixed an issue where rendering all shots would not render shots individually but render directly from playback. This caused issues with shots that had overlapping frame ranges.,

  • Rendering all shots now ignores any shot that is toggled off,

  • Rendering all shots resets the render range in the scene from the first shot in_frame to the last shot out_frame,

  • Jump Gaps and Overlap Shots buttons remain in the same state as they were before rendering all camera playblasts

5.24 / v1.0

  • Fixed an issue where the frame handler would not register when reopening a file
